That is where we come from. UHRIG was founded in 1963 in Geisingen an der Donau in Baden-Württemberg and has around 120 employees. Until today it has been run as a family company, but the UHRIG Group is now represented worldwide with its products and services. Our own technical developments and tailor-made solutions are our recipe for success. Numerous solutions developed by UHRIG are patented and used successfully internationally. We do not rest on our laurels, but aim to continue to set technological, ecological and economic standards.

The UHRIG Group today

The UHRIG Group has developed into an internationally recognised specialist company for sewage and rainwater systems over the past 50 years. We see environmental and climate protection as one of the most urgent tasks of our time and are therefore particularly proud of our idea of climate-friendly heat recovery from wastewater. Our four major business areas are:

  • Civil engineering and road construction,
  • Intelligent sewer networks including sewer technology,
  • Compactor construction and
  • climate-friendly energy from waste water.


That is where we want to go

Our two major goals are climate and environmental protection and sustainable profitability. In other words: We want to revolutionise civil engineering and use energy from wastewater to accelerate the energy transition in the heating market! To this end, we are continuously working on the development of new processes and technologies. Our patented Therm-Liner systems for waste water heat recovery have already been installed in over 100 projects across Europe – and demand is increasing!


Mission statement & philosophy

Climate protection is imperative and we make our contribution: By generating energy from wastewater, we are contributing to the energy transition in the heating market. With new ideas, we want to be the leader in the climate-friendly implementation of civil engineering projects.

As a medium-sized family company with regional roots, we attach great importance to a strong service orientation, a fair and respectful cooperation as well as social commitment. We call our individually tailored complete solutions “System UHRIG”, but our motto is: “We get it done for you!”

Of course, the respectful cooperation does not only apply to our customers: Team spirit and an open relationship on an equal footing with all of our employees are very important to us. For us, trust, appreciation and reliability are not just theoretical principles, but rather they are daily practice. We know that we can only achieve our goals together. That is why we rely on extensive promotion of young talent in training and studies as well as regular further training for our employees.
