UHRIG product: Therm-Liner

The Therm-Line from UHRIG is a module sewer heat exchange system for subsequent installation in existing and newly constructed sewers. Every Therm-Liner is a made-to-measure product and is laid out and designed dependent on the part of the need and the respective sewer situation. The individual heat exchange modules are introduced into the sewer using the available shaft infrastructure and are securely mounted. A Therm-Liner system can be dismantled as well as expanded at any time.

The Therm-Liner wastewater heat exchanger is a double-shelled stainless steel pressure container. The heat exchange surface is completely supplied by warm wastewater. The heat exchanger itself is perfused with a cooling liquid, in general water. Energy is thus extracted from the warm wastewater. The temperature level achieved is then raised to usable energy performance by a heat pump. If climatization is required for the building, a reversible heat pump comes into use. The process circuit is reversed in the summer and the building is cooled by the wastewater stream.

Dependent on building usage, economy and ecology, the Therm-Liner system can be incorporated into various heating systems. The centerpiece of energy generation from wastewater is always the connection of wastewater heat exchangers and heat pumps. A monovalent, bivalent, or multivalent design of the heating is possible.

The heat distribution can be realized in two ways:

  • Cold local heating networks: Energy users with their own heat pumps. The flow to and from the heat exchanger is led cold, uninsulated.
  • Warm local heating networks: Heat pumps are central. Primary circuit between heat pump and respective energy users in a warm, insulated network, the secondary circuit between the heat pump and sewer heat exchangers a cold network.

We offer three different Therm-Liners for wastewater heat usage tailored to the respective sewer:
